First elected to the Texas House in 2022. Current term expires January 2027. Running for re-election in 2026; won the Republican primary for Texas House District 19 and will be on the November 2026 general election ballot.

Endorsed in the 2024 Republican primary election by Gov. Greg Abbott. Abbott endorsed incumbents who supported his voucher bill, HB 1, in the fourth special session of the 88th Legislature.

Endorsed by the editorial board of the Austin American-Statesman in the 2022 Republican primary election and in the May 2022 Republican primary runoff election.
